Hi All,

I had a little mishap a couple of weeks ago involving some chickpeas,
an immersion blender and my index finger. Everything is in one piece,
but I've had to recruit a guitarist with ten working fingers to play
with me while my cuts heal (gosh, that sounds dramatic, huh?). I'll
be playing with him tomorrow night (April 30th) at 9pm at the Cantab
Lounge. We might be playing with a drummer. We might be playing with
a bassist. It's a mystery gig of mysteriousness!

Here are the details:

Thursday, April 30th at 9pm (doors open around 7:30 or so)
21+
$8 cover
I'm sharing the bill with Wiley Wiley, Saturday and May Day
I'll be backed by a band in some form or another

----

While my sister was visiting, she and I decided to make a "music
video." It involves me playing a Madonna song while she does an
interpretive dance. A giant cat costume is involved. It's low on
production value but high in humor value. Check it out here: http://

Tell all your friends!

And, of course, the biggest piece of news is that I've finally set a
date for my CD Release Party!

*** The Beer and Pie CD Release Party will be Sunday, June 21st from
2-5pm, Upstairs at the Middle East in Cambridge ***

Details are still a bit fuzzy, but there will be beer. There will be
pie. And there will be some kick ass rock and roll music.

The show will be a benefit for Students for a Free Tibet (http://
www.studentsforafreetibet.org/) and for the Shree Mangal Dvip School
in Nepal (http://www.himalayanchildren.org/). I had the privilege of
volunteering for the school while I did my semester abroad in college
and they are truly an exceptional institution. I am extremely happy
to have this opportunity to show them some support. Likewise, SFT
does fantastic grassroots activism and could use all of the help that
they can get.

I'm lining up an eclectic bill of talented musicians. I'll also be
performing songs from the album with a rocking band.

I hope to see you there! Bring your friends! Bring your enemies!
Bring the crazy guy that you met on the way to the club!

Happy Spring!
Hope.
